Emergency cover

CANAM offers a full Lift Maintenance Contract service, including scheduled routine maintenance visits, repair services and 24-hour emergency call-out where required.

The more frequently lifts are used, the greater the need for regular scheduled maintenance. CANAM tailors individual maintenance contracts to suit Clients’ needs, aiming to reduce overall costs and give maximum flexibility.

We cover the full spectrum of lift types and manufacturers – from the most traditional to the latest, leading-edge elevator technology.
Our contracts are based on an agreed schedule of maintenance, customer requirements and statutory regulations, all in line with our standard terms and conditions.

CANAM’s experienced professionals carry out inspection, general cleaning, lubrication, levelling and safety checks, plus any running adjustments or operational functions to ensure continued safe and reliable operation.

Standard contract - includes a pre-agreed number of maintenance visits, usually 12 visits per year, with each visit taking place monthly. All other requests for site attendance are chargeable.

Comprehensive contract - includes all pre-agreed maintenance visits, plus the labour and material content of all breakdowns and repairs during normal working hours.

Typical visit frequencies

Passenger carrying lifts 12 visits per annum
Goods passenger lifts 12 visits per annum

With Clients having a legal responsibility to ensure their lifts are properly maintained, CANAM provides updates and advice to clients to help them keep up to date with any changes that might affect their lifts. This includes industry standards, working practice legislation and regulatory requirements affecting health and safety, buildings compliance and buildings insurance.

All our work complies with "The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations" (LOLER), 1998. Our specialists are also accredited to BS EN ISO 9001: 1994 for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, test, service and refurbishment of lifts.
